The urban villa in the western part of Hamburg, originally built around 1890, is in need of renovation. The necessary measures to adapt the building for contemporary living with five residential units are being developed in ongoing coordination with the heritage conservation authority and with the involvement of specialized consultants, including a detailed colour analysis and the development of a corresponding restoration concept. A further challenge lies in upgrading the building’s fire protection systems while preserving and complying with the requirements of historic preservation regulations.
